Munich

Munich, Germany – the pearl city of Central Europe, the capital of the federal state of Bavaria, located on the Isar River in the south of the country. The city of Munich is one of the most attractive in the region from a tourist point of view, with a rich history and cultural traditions.

For the first time in chronicles, Munich was mentioned in 1158 as Villa Munichen, but already in 1175 it receives urban status and is surrounded by walls. The name of the city comes from the old German word Mönche, meaning monks, since it is believed that the Benedictine monks began Munich.
